Police Widows and Orphans Charity Ride Photos...

Thought I would share some cool photos with my Touring Friends.

Went on the Long Beach Police Officers Widows and Orphans Charity Ride yesterday and had a great time. Great event for a Good Cause if you ask me.

This was the largest ride I have ever been on. We rode about 30 miles with Police, CHP and Helicopter escort that ended with a nice ride along a few So Cal Beaches. I was about in the middle of the pack so we took photos in front and behind us.

It was a lot of money, $50, but it went to a good cause and it was a unique experience.

My Step Dad is a retired police officer so he goes to all of them.

I saw some people joining the ride and sneaking in to the after party without paying the fee. Maybe they didnt think it through but its pretty sad when your doing shit like that at a charity event for Orphans and Widows.

I have wondered why the moderators or Kahuna's here do not pre-post rides like these and let us donate to the cause.
Donations say via Paypal as little as a buck would add up quick from the sports on this forum.
 
Thanks for supporting a good cause. Sadly I personally know families, widows and children, that have had to deal with that loss. I go to DC for Police Week just about every year. My way of paying respect to those that have made the ultimate sacrifice; both the officer and their families. Great pics of what looked like a great ride!

Just think positive....Maybe these folks were just running late and catching up or were going to pay at the end...
Looks like a great day and great ride... How was the party at the end?
 
Other than serving yourself. There's no greater reward than supporting those that serve this country in our military or police and fire departments.
