Police Road King - Civilianization

run flats are not recommended with a passenger because they are not designed to RUN FLAT WITH A PASSENGER ABOARD. In other words, don't try to ride on deflated run flats if you're 2 up just like you wouldn't if using regular tires. If solo, do not exceed 50 mph on deflated run flat tire. They are only meant to get you to a repair shop. Replace tire asap. The dealer will probably deliver your bike with regular tires anyway.

Also, all the police equipment (siren, lights) will probably be removed and replaced with regular.
You can easily remove the air canister and put it in your saddlebag. You just have to cut a small notch in the bag edge to be able to close the lid without pinching the air line. I just used duct tape when I put my canister in the bag. Held fine. Then just remove the radio mount and get a different license plate mount and your good.

None of the wires for the siren system will work without the actual siren amp and speaker. As for your horn problem....on the siren system a pin in the left handlebar plug is moved from position 6 to position 11...this enables the air horn feature of the siren system and disables the civilian horn......
follow the wires from your left control down into the nacelle (you will have to disassemble the nacelle to get to it) to the gray plug that connects into the main harness. on the back of the plug you will see numbers...simply move pin in position 11 back to position 6 and your civilian horn will work with the red paddle switch on the left control.
for the front lights...the wig-wag (alternating) flasher must be removed otherwise your clear lights will alternately flash....i believe the flasher on the 05 is under the left side cover..it will be a 3 position receptacle with gray and gray w/ black tracers wires going to it. Make a jumper that connects all three terminals together with spade blade terminals. the front lights will then work when you push the red switch on the right handlebar control all the way forward.

Mine was a Tulsa Police Dept. bike. I absolutely love it. I've changed quite a bit on her but I kept the bag lids. I like the hockey pucks. Makes it alot easier to get into. Some suggestions would be highway pegs, rear floorboards. A good 2 up seat( I went with a sundowner), Change the tag bracket and take the radio rack and compressor off, and a stereo. I went with a pioneer system and used biketronics 6.5 speaker adapters.

I did just throw on a 9 inch LRS windshield and I'm pretty happy with it. I forget what it's called but it's the more drastic flip up shield. Deflects as much or more than my stock 12 did. went light smoke. kinda wish I would've gone darker.

They are NOT Run Flat tires.....They are "Bead Retention" tires designed to stay on the rim in case of a sudden loss of pressure and get you safely stopped without the bead of the tire seperating from the rim. They dont permit you to continue travelling anywhere or let you run 50 mph to anywhere, solo or 2 up.....The Description of Bead Retention and Run Flat are not interchangeable.
They were only designed and certified to be bead retention with a solo rider for police bikes, so bead retention 2 up was not tested.
