Sasaki is the original name of Giovanni.

But yeah, I think the more epic battles should be longer, or at least enough to give two or three of Satoshi's team a personal rivalry with the other trainer's.

I think it's safe to say that the most crucial battles will be spread out beween at least two episodes, as it was with Drake, Gary, and to a different extent, Brandon.

That's because the normal name is Sharona, based on Sharon. In any case, Cynthia was probably chosen based on synthetic/syntax, how worRAB and parts of worRAB are put and blended together, much as she blenRAB different types on her team rather than just one or two like most other leaders.

Also, Giovanni would be Sakaki, not Sasaki.

Ok. But when will Giovanni ever fight fair (other than when he had Mewtwo). Maybe if he was undercover, like Cyrus, then I think there would be a possibilaty that Giovanni and Ash would square off in a fair fight. Otherwise there would just be rocket grunts everywhere, distracting from the center of attention.

It looks like the cast till travel back in time. Which might explan how the exclusive movie girl appears with her ancestor.

That's some nice artwork there. I didn't think that they would get rid of any of the Johto starters considering one of the earliest posters had the three starters. Not to mention the fact that the main reason they're there is to promote HeartGold and SoulSilver.

They're probably just going to be in the background as advertisements for the new HGSS games.

This happens in all the movies, like the Bonsly/Mime Jr. from Movie 8, the Munchlax in Movie 7, etc.

There's always just random pokes thrown in there to advertise whatever the next upcoming game is. They usually don't impact the story in any major way.
