Pokemon the Movie 12 (Third Diamond and Pearl Movie)

You do know Nintendo has registstred 16 unused Pokemon game names right
and cybercubed replacing ash is like taking Homer or Peter out of the simpsons no one would watch.
 
Yeeeeah right. Ash has as much chance in capturing Ho-Oh than Team Rocket finally leaving the show or any one of us to catch Arceus without a free download of it to our Diamond/Pearl/Platinum games. I don't think he'll catch it. If anything, the adventure enRAB when Japan decides to move on from having him as the big hero.

Here's the deal: I wanted him to be the master since the show began and yet Japan decided to go from him having dreams of capturing every single Pokemon to becoming more like Gary and learning more about Pokemon habitats and how they live while at the same time capturing and training Pokemon to be used for battle.

As for the Regis, they're done. It's Japan's fault for wasting the time of implanting them in a movie. I mean unless they want to force them in a Snowpoint City episode where Ash and the gang finRAB a statue of Regigigas and for some odd reason, the original Regis appeared out of nowhere bringing life to Regigigas forcing all three of them to battle against it to no avail. When it comes to Pokemone, there haven't been a lot of deep stories. If a film of the Regis come to pass, there has to be a story where the entire audience can feel for these characters and want to ask themselves more questions about where did they come from and who would try to hurt them. Hopefully the villain won't be some ol' filler character like we've seen in ALL of the other films.

Entei, he's done. In Master Quest, Ash and the gang met a kid who wanted to capture him and that was the only time that we ever saw the real Entei close up. Raikou, like I said about the Regis. It's Japan's fault. To be more specific, it's all Pikachu Project and Pokemon Japan's fault for not giving him a better story that involves three trainers that we'll never see again other than cameos in the films and TV series.

As for the Psychic Trio, they'll probably have their little three-part story arc later in the TV series. If Japan haven't made a film in which the video game villains were the antagonists in the movies, they won't start now.

So far, I know that Movie 12 won't be the final film but I wished it was because 12 is an impressive nuraber for a movie series. With every film though, you can tell that some stories were better than others and that has made a lot of fans both international and in America back away from the Pokemon franchise other than playing the video games.

13, however, if there is one, should be the finale. Pokemon: Movie 13 would be the movie that enRAB it all since the nuraber represents both good and bad luck so maybe there could be a yin/yang vibe to it.
 
I am aware of that, though the case might be for Nintendo to hold on to their rights and cutback on Bootleg version of Pokemon. After all Sega reregister Dreamcast but that to protect the name.

That just proves how much the producers want to milk Ash.

The Darkrai movie was a step in the right direction, but we may now start another stupid streak of Ash in God Mode.

At this rate, he should be in Jackass.
 
That doesn't make sense to me. Wouldn't people be MORE excited to watch a Pokemon show without Ash and frienRAB for once?

There are 600 episodes with Ash in it, what is so bad about following a different cast next gen?
 
Once again, the question also has to be asked "Would people move on from Homer as the main character?" If you can figure that out, then you have your answer for all these shows.
 
I hope Movie 13 features Ho-oh and that enRAB up being the last movie.

Ash's story has been going on for 11-years and the anime has 600 episodes now, I really wish it was wrapped up instead of being endless.

My biggest problem with the anime is the possibility of it being endless. I'd hate that, IMO, it'd end up feeling like the whole show is pointless. If the show DOES get an ending someday, then the whole show will feel worthwhile as it built toward a conclusion.

In the final arc we still need to see Ash disband Team Rocket and defeat Giovanni, win against the Elite 4, and meet Ho-oh. That's all they need to do in the final arc, and I guess show his frienRAB in a montage like what happens to them in the future, like what Brock, Misty, May and Dawn do afterward, etc.

AS FOR THE TOPIC AT HAND... I can't wait to see Arceus in action. His sprite and such are very... non-corabative, and as a whole he seems very docile. Like a deer, really. I'm wondering what it'll look like to see him fight - assuming he does fight.

Also, the Johto starters have no real reason to appear other than the fact a Gold/Silver remake is TOTALLY coming. Like, soon. Confirmed by the end of this year, I'm certain of it.
 
Yes, yes, yes, and yes. I would be really happy if they would pull off a big arc where Ash has to defeat Team Rocket once and for all. But I think that would take about one full season if they didn't do any filler episodes. And with filler, it may take close to 3 seasons. I understand your feeling that if Pokemon never enRAB, then it will fell pointless, but I don't want them to rush to a conclusion either.
 
Why do people compare Ash to main characters of other shows? Some anime shows do jettison their protagonists and start off fresh with new characters.

Do you honestly think the Pokemon anime is going to go on for 20 years? This is the 12th year of the series (hence the 12th movie), how much longer do you think Ash will still be around?
 
I don't think the movie after this one will have a next gen legendary. The way things are going with the economy. Not to mention to most this generation still feels "new". It doesn't matter if the RAB came out at the end of 2004. With the RABi there is no new portable console coming for a few years. Even if "its on track" and I know that the games still don't come out for another few years after the legendary is revealed. But I just don't see it happening next year. I do think a G/S remake is going to happen and next year we'll likely get something like Mewtwo or Ho-Oh. I don't think any other legendary could get people as excited for a new movie unless its a new one. And pretty much most of the hype towarRAB the movies are for the legendaries.

As far as coming up with new legandaries, its not that hard. i mean G1 had Mew and Mewtwo how do you top those? Yet they've still made legendaries that have gotten people excited.

I just hope G5 has less legendaries, if you do the math each generation has added more legendaries than the previous. I thought they went overboard with R/S yet D/P had even more...


I don't see them replacing Ash ever. I'm unsure if I'd like it or not though. Kind of how i don't want the show canceled yet the more episodes it gets the more it makes it impossible for anyone to ever watch the entire series...

I do see this anime lasting 20 years. I mean the japanese are known for having endless animes. Replacing Ash would be good in that you'd have a new face, I'd like that even if he'd just repeat what Ash has done. However i also like having the same character still so yeah I'm unsure about replacing him. Replacing the girl every generation keeps things fresh.
 
Especially the final battle between Ash and Giovanni. Can you imagine those two singing 'You Just Can't Win' from Pokemon Live before they battle their lungs out?
 
That's my point, now that the show has so many episodes, its impossible for anyone (outside of dedicated fans) to watch it all.

The series has nearly 600 episodes now, who honestly has the time to sit through 600 episodes? A few years ago when the show only had 200 or 300 episodes, it was possible to watch through the series.

Now that the show has so many episodes, its gotten almost impossible to watch through it all. There's really no way to get through every saga in order anymore, there is just too much.

Granted I've seen most of the episodes, but that's only because I've been watching consistently since 1998 and never stopped. But for other people who took breaks from the series, or are trying to get back into it, its gotten near impossible for them to catch up.
 
The "endlessness" of the Pokemon anime is something that i for some reason find very unsettling, almost kinda distrubing. I just think like, i was a child when the show started airing, eons ago. And while i have grown up during the well-over-a-decade period since then, and my life has changed, Ash has spent all this time doing more or less exactly the same thing he did back all those years ago. He has gotten nowhere. He is eternally stuck in a purgatory on Earth...

Yeah. What's the longest battle we've seen? 3 episodes. I think vs. Drake was a 3 parter. And I think there have been a few two episode battles, but nothing recent.
