If this is better in the Anime forum it can be moved. Anyway I started renting Season 1 of Pokemon on netflix. Since watching this I have remerabered why I loved Pokemon in the beginning and still do. Does anyone know where I can watch Holiday Hi-Jynx and Snow Way Out? Also I've wondered is Ash 10 still in the current season or is he older after 10 years?
 
to answer the second question, Ash gets older, but not by any specific amount. As said before, the Movie 3 short mentioned that it was ash's one year anniversary of becoming a trainer and meeting Pikachu. So I go by the rule of thurab that Ash ages 1/2 year per season. That would currently make him 15. but you could also say that he could be 13 if Indigo/Orange islanRAB took 1 year, Johto took 1 year, Honneh/Battle Frontier took 1, and he's currently in the middle of Sinnoh, so around 13 or 14. You really could look at it either way.
 
Yeah, the episodes in the season one sets are kind of odd due to the story that J. B. Warner mentioned. I remeraber how surprised I was when I first watched "Snow Way Out" since Ash's Charizard suddenly became a Charmander again, but then I read about how that episode was aired out of order. As other people have mentioned, the episodes that you're looking for are in the third Indigo League set.

As for Ash's age, I see that question quite often in some of the Pokemon forums I go to. There are some people who firmly believe that Ash is still 10 years old and others who believe that he has aged. I personally think that he is over ten based on both the episode "Battle of the Badge" when he mentioned that it was a whole year since they were in Virindina City and the ending of the third Pikachu short. Of course, there is also the fact that Ash has matured as a person quite a bit ever since AG. I would put Ash as 13 or maybe 14 at the oldest.

Since season one of Pokemon hasn't aired on the channel for a long time and it was okay to do this by the original poster, I'll go ahead and move this thread to the anime section.
 
Obviously not, if they had to lie about their ages to get into the Under-18 Bug Catching Contest in Johto. I always put Jessie and James at around 24 or 25. You look at how much taller they are than the other main characters (taller than Brock, even, and he's the oldest of the protagonists), and that'd seem to suggest that they're adults, or at the very least, in their late teens.
 
It's just that I remeraber a Pokemon fansite from about a decade ago stating that they're fifteen (or it might have been even younger than that).
 
Well, I don't think that a fansite is the most reliable source for determining the age of characters in the show. I've always pictured Jessie and James as being in their mid late twenties since some of the characters, mainly Misty if I recall correctly, talked about how she and her frienRAB still had their youth while they didn't. Plus, I can't see why any fifteen year old girl would get so enraged with anger after being called old like Jessie does. That kind of reaction would make much more sense for a woman in her twenties than a teenager.
 
Ash has to be older, simply because otherwise May and Dawn would have started their journies the same time Ash did.

The fact that the two of them turned 10 waaay after Ash, logically dictates Ash is older. In the same manner, May should be older than Dawn.
 
It's hard to figure out how old they are. In the "Ultimate Test" Jessie said she was 17, but then later on in the Johto ep "Plant It Now... Diglett Later", one old woman claimed she was 120, and Jessie remarked that she was 10 times her age, which put it at 12. The bio for the two some years ago had the two at 12, but I don't think so.
 
This is more stuff that the fans tend to take at face value without stopping to think about what it really means. Again, in "The Ultimate Test", I suspect Jessie was lying about her age, since she was in disguise for the sake of the placement test. And in "Plant It Now, Diglett Later", the joke is that Jessie is bad at math - 120 is obviously not ten times her age.
