Pokemon Pearl - How do I jump the bike ramp in the caves?

I am on my way to the Pokemon League and I am at the first bike ramp where you have to move the boulders with strength and then jump the ramp.

I have the bike on the fastest speed and it gets up the ramp but then lands right in front of the ramp in stead of going over the rocks. HELP What am I doing wrong???
