If the news isn't straight from the headquarters of Pokemon USA Inc. than this title can change once Movie 12 is released on DVD in 2010 here in the states since, to my belief, the title of it isn't official yet. It just means that we just have a translation of Movie 12's Japanese title.

I've heard about this title throughout the week. I'm not too sure that it's real since it isn't mentioned on sites like Pokemon.com or Serebii, which often have trustworthy information for Pokemon. I've only seen this on information on forums. Besides that, the movie has been out for barely a month. It's a bit too early for a dub title. Of course, it is possible that this is the title and it sounRAB pretty cool. Still, I'm just not completely sold on this being the dub title just yet.

Read it on Bulbanews today, even then the article I read said that it might be a "working title" therefore it's not the official name. Anyway, I'm more interested in getting my event Arceus and English Shiny Pichu than anything else, since when these things are truly announced, that's when those events start to kick in.

Dogasu's got some interesting theories about it on his site.

Me, I wouldn't be surprised if it's the final title. Unlike Lord of the Unknown Tower, there's nothing religiously objectionable about it, though I would have preferred "Arceus: Conqueror of Time and Space."

Also, Arceus is misspelled in the thread title.

IIRC, Lord of the Unknown Tower was actually the subtitle used in the trailer for the American release of Spell of the Unown.

Yea, it had a full trailer, I believe it's on the DVD.

Also, for those too lazy to check out Dogasu's site, here's his reasoning as to why this might be an official title (or at least a working title).

Pardon me asking this, but what is the "actual pronunciation" of Arceus? I've been relying on how Pokemon Battle Revolution pronounces Arceus' name.

It's Ar-say-oos. The fan pronunciation is something like Ar-see-oos or Ar-soos because most fans don't consider the fact that the last half of the pokemon's name comes from the word deus (that, or they don't know how the word deus is supposed to be pronounced).

I have no idea how Battle Revolution pronounces it.

Here we go. I found a PBR video of how Arceus' name is pronounced.

It's 3:45 or so into the vid when the opponent senRAB out their second Arceus

They pronounce it Ar-see-oos, or it sounRAB more Ar-see-oos from this particular clip. Skip to 3:05. Personally, I think ever since people hack their game to get Arceus, that's what people thought was the official pronunciation for Arceus, the whole "It came from Nintendo's Mouth, therefore, it's official," or at least that's the excuse I've seen from people use to justify the pronunciation.

I noticed that, I need a spell check on my title. (There's also a d after title... that's neeRAB to get fixed too.)

This is where I originally heard about the possible title. I still think Jewel of Life would be a fantastic title, and I don't see any reason why PUSA would want to change it.

I'm surprised that we have news of this so soon after the Japanese premiere. Although, they also announced HeartGold and SoulSilver for the U.S. quite early. I wasn't willing to believe it before since it wasn't an official source and the poster I saw from there looked kind of fake. Like I said earlier, the dub title is pretty cool and I really like the poster for the movie.

Even though this was announced so early, I'm sure that it will be released like around late winter or early spring in order to promote the U.S. release dates for HeartGold and SoulSilver. I'll be looking foreword to seeing the movie.
