I've liked pretty much all the dub openings for Pokemon...they're either awesome or catchy or both.

So I'm curious what you all think were the best to worst

The first opening was the only one I liked in english, With a few exceptions along the way.

Personally, the japanese openings are better, but COMPLETLY different.

Opening 1 will always be the best. after season 5ish, they just got boring for me.
 
My top three openings for Pokemon are I'm Unbeatable, the opening to to Advance Battle, This Dream, the opening for Advance Challenge, and Born to be a Winner, the opening to Johto League Champions. I usually enjoy the openings and I have for all of them except for Diamond and Pearl since it really felt lacking in every possible way.

If I had to choose just one, I'd go with Born to be a Winner since I love the beat and I thought that it was a pretty good remix. It's also the ring tone on my cell phone.

I've always liked the first one.
None of the new openings afterwarRAB seem that great to me besides the 3rd Opening "Its a whole new world we live in"
 
"Pokemon Theme" gotta give props to the original song

"Pokemon World" I liked the Orange Island song

"Pokemon Johto" Described Johto pretty well

"I'm Unbeatable" Very Catchy and I like the opening that they made, even the one that still had Mime Jr. Weavile, Lucario, and Mew in it.

"Battle Frontier"- I like the lyrics, and if you find the One minute version it is still very catchy

"We Will Be Heroes"- I prefer the movie over the TV show, but it is still enjoyable, better than the Linkin Park styled song from the season before.
 
I rather like all of Johto's themes. It's kinda sad that those openings make Johto look better than it really is, its almost like false advertising.

The DP rap sucked, thank god PUSA wised up and made a better one for the second DP opening.
 
While I do agree with you on how bad the first DP opening theme was, I don't think that Johto was that bad. With how the last two sagas have turned out, I could definitely see how things in Johto could have turned out better. But at the same time, I didn't think it was that horrible either. Granted, I haven't seen the first two Johto seasons for awhile, but I have seen Master Quest again and it definitely wasn't horrible by any means to me.
 
It wasn't terrible, but the openings make it look a lot better. "A whole new world of adventure," or really "A whole new world" of terrible filler, plotholes (GS ball), and the dumping of Charizard/Squirtle. And don't get me started on how Johto durabed the show down considerably.
 
It definitely helps that I haven't seen those seasons for awhile, but I didn't think that the show was durabed down with Johto. While I agree that dropping the GS ball was a poor move, I didn't think that the fillers were that bad. At least not all of them. I also didn't mind so much that Ash left Charizard and Squirtle to train. In fact, one of my favorite Johto Journeys episodes is where Charizard and Ash part way, if only for the emotional scene at the end. For both of them, they were already really strong and the writers were fairly new with how to handle Ash's older Pokemon when Johto started. Though, it probably helps that in both cases, Ash could just make a couple of phone calls and get both Charizard and Squirtle whenever he wants to and that has happened before.
