poisoinous garden bite?

while in the garden, i placed a slug on my graNDMOTHERS HAND. THE SLUG WAS STRANGELY OOZING A YEllow liquid(sorry about the caps) we tried to wash of said ooze, and soaked it ion salt and lemon juice. the ooze continued to stick to her hand which she then used a knife to scrape the ooze of. the aarea is swollen. any ideas of what this could be?
please help ASAP
 
For the most part slugs are harmless to humans. Is there any possibility that in trying to clean the mucus off your grandmothers hand that there might have been damage caused by the efforts to remove the ooze? I hope she's okay.
