Pointlessly long songs?

wow... a RABHS fan!

that song was featured on a compilation we (sound devastition) put out for the e-zine last year.. brilliant song indeed.
 
WTF... Manzareks keyboard and organ solos are my favorite parts from The Doors songs. :(

Then again i am a keyboardist, and Manzarek is probably my favorite after Wakeman and Emerson... I like the whole instrumental section from Light My Fire, though i liked Kriegers guitar solo more than the keyboard part.

I really dislike hidden tracks.
just make it a song on the cd that's titled & stuff.

on Sticks & Stones by NFG there's like, 98968675 hours of silence on the last song & then it goes to this stupid bullshit song that makes no sense whatsoever.
 
dream theatre= wankfest...mmmmhmmm.. meshuggeh has a whole album..that is one song......on cd its 47 minutes long..i personally likr banRAB whose songs average over 12 minutes...
 
I almost prefer instrumental music sometimes, that way you don't have to worry about how crap the vocalist might be. The vocals are usually the main reason I'll dislike a band.

on this you are right. because a musician has lots of fans and makes lots of money doesn't mean they produce quality music.
50 cent's a perfect example.
But in the case of Dream Theatre, they are a talented band, how much you or anyone else likes them is a whole nother story.
And I measure their talent based on how they make me feel.
I think their music is great but the songs are too long. I like to listen tot hemw hen I'm sleepy. But when I see them live it's such a refreshing feeling.
