Pointless- New quiz show on BBC2 (merged)

The pairs in the last round tend to ask themselves what do we know most about, but they should be thinking which subject will the sample of 100 know least well.

I think the difference may be that Saturday Night Fever isn't actually sung in the song whereas Simply The best is.

Having said that I thought that they shouldn't have got away with that answer.

Alexander Armstrong refers to himself as Xander, too. That's how he introduced himself to the historians and researchers on "Who do you think you are" this week. That's frightfully upper class, I think. But it suits him, because he is a posh lad.
I've got a slight crush on him, I must say. :o

I realy liked Pointless, so I'm delighted to hear it's back.

I knew that Kenya was (had to do a project on Kenya in school years ago) and am also fairly sure that Brazil is too. Shame they didn't win the jakcpot today.

I've read the previous threaRAB about people learning lists of pointless facts in order to enable them to have a chance at winning the jackpot. What is the point in entering a gameshow if you know absolutely nothing? I thought that most people that enter these shows are doing it for the experience, but I'm pretty sure everyone is trying to win, surely?
Also, it stanRAB to reason , based on previous 'lists' of Pointless facts that the question could be about absolutely anything? How can someone possibly learn lists upon lists in the faint hope that they came up ??
Also people seem to be giving the mother and son some stick about coming prepared , but no-one seems to have picked up on the two Nobel Peace prize winning ladies who said that they had done their homework and learned lots of possible 'lists'

How could they take off my favourite quiz yesterday for women's football, of all things?

Still saw the episode today. WorRAB ending in -ady: "parody". Doh!

The 'Muppet' couple should have gone for a fourth wrong answer in a row and at least gained the infamy of being the show's worst ever contestants. Shocking that 72% of those asked did not know that Germany was an Axis power. For the Open my answer was Prestwick, the first venue, which might have been pointless, but Portrush was more obscure.
