Pointless- New quiz show on BBC2 (merged)

Don't forget Pointless is back on Friday. Odd day to restart, but that's when programmes get back to normal after the Commonwealth Games.

What would be the point of him getting told the answers? He doesn't get them all right anyway.

In any case, I don't think he's short of a few brain cells, he did a degree in English at Cambridge.

it's not that the contestants didn't know, it's the fact that not all of the 100 people surveyed when asked what the currency of the UK is, knew it is the Pound.

Pointless BBC2, 4.30pm

Like Family Fortunes in reverse, contestants in this new game show have to come up with the answers that the FEWEST people surveyed came up with.

So, for example, if you can think of an Abba top-40 hit that nobody else did, you'll get zero points and are well on your way to success.

Alexander Armstrong hosts, with five teams of two competing to win a cash prize or an utterly Pointless trophy.

Excellent play-at-home value, so if you're looking for a new addiction that's not too clever and not completely thick, this could be it.

under attack by abba ?

i may tune into this show just to see if its any good .

Mrs Flyboy and I attended the recording of the final episode of this series, a couple of weeks ago. It was a celebrity edition, featuring Bill and Sian from Breakfast, Theo and Debra from Dragons' Den, the two from Crimewatch, Rav and a very, very short woman (can't remember her name) and two blokes from a channel four programme (something to do with weekenRAB). Not having watched the show before, I can't tell whether they have returned to a familiar format or not, but it was quite a good show.

One point to remark on; Richard Osman is bloody tall. He towered above Alexander Armstrong, who is alreay quite tall himself.

Hi,
Well done for winning the jackpot....you must have a photographic memory !!
Maybe, you should have been more gracious to Dawn and Ross and the John Grisham novels,....after all you said that your hubby was hopeless at Shakespeare even though he read it at Uni, so you must have been practicing your possible lists too eh to know that he couldn't recall them ??? !!
Pot , Kettle .....

They were good players, and very good at sport and therefore slightly lucky to get 2 sport catogaries at the crucial time.

I got Jason Kenny and with a bit of thinking time I think would have got Ian Percy but Tim Brabents was a very good one.

I suspect most of the other pointless ones would have been the other relay cyclists/ most of the rowing gold and a few other sailers.

Lol where do they get them from. obviously thrown out of school. Even those kiRAB on smarter than a ten year old could name a country on the med. Dont care much for the second round. Love the show though.
