Pointless- New quiz show on BBC2 (merged)

I put it on for Flog It and there was Pointless. Because the stupid people at the Radio Times have messed about with the layout of the daytime pages, it is easy to miss things.
 
I need to catch up on the past few episodes so hello iPlayer sesh tonight :D
I really want to go on this as well,knowing my luck me and whomever I'm with will get booted out first round twice,unless I persuaded my Dad to go on (he's like an encyclopedia of random knowledge). Is there anywhere online you can apply? I remember they did it last year but I wasn't old enough to apply then.
 
I think Mohammad Yunus was the only one I knew that had the best chance. This is getting ridiculous, either Alexander Armstrong is the smartest guy ever or he gets told the answers before he comes on because it doesn't look like he has an earpiece.
 
I hope it is back to its original format. Giving the answers to choose from in the last series seemed to dumb it down a lot and spoiled the enjoyment of guessing the answers at home.
 
Yes that's the one. She and Harry were the winning pair on Friday though they did not win the jackpot.

I liked the way today's endgame allowed Richard to talk about "pointless books by Jackie Collins"

good luck with other shows I advise weakest link it brilliant fun even fi it is out dated to watch to go on is great.:cool:
 
I love pointless. I record it to watch later on a night because there's nothing else on usually. I get quite a few pointless answers. I guess you havew to be a bit of an anorak! Got Tom Jones 'something bout you baby i like' as a pointless. It was his last hit in the seventies. Only got to about no.34 in the chart.
 
That bloke John thought he had a very clever answer today when asked how long he had known is team mate. "I have known him all my life, as David is my younger brother" Very smug answer. Well actually not all your life then.......... All his life maybe...........

I recorded most of the last series (i think i might have missed 3 or 4 episodes) but i'll make sure this time i record the whole series.
 
A bit picky, but can they not make their graphic run a bit more smoothly? It lags a bit as it's moving.
 
I'd probably have been reluctant to say Switzerland not because I'd been paying attention to the "EU countries only" stipulation but because I thought that "Schwiizerd
 
I noticed the lagging graphic when the total ran down, I don't recall it happen in the first series. And I expected more comments about Malcolm R. :P

Apparently Alexander Armstrong was on This morning and said something about that contestant.
