Pointless- New quiz show on BBC2 (merged)

Yes indeed, well done - and to neatly bring me back round to my earlier post, nice for a team to win it simply through knowing the subject (having studied and remembered the play), rather than as a result of intense list-revision! :)

Very good call on Salford as a city, too - that's the one I would have said as well since I went to university there. You didn't by any chance, did you?

Something that I've just thought about when Richard said its difficult to think of the answers in 60 seconRAB...if the people surveyed get 100 seconRAB to think of the answers, shouldn't the contestants get the same amount of time as well? Just a thought :)

Also agree about the banter, on most game shows the banter is either boring or cringeworthy, but it works really well on this show.

Well, he did choose football. I was hoping they'd choose chemistry, though on past form I don't think they'd have got anything no matter how simple the question was.

I have to say that I got addicted to Pointless. It is the best game show for years. Well thought out, no nonsense, a good host, reasonably knowledgable contestants and excellent additional information from Richard. It was also a bonus that it was on BBC2 with no advert breaks and if you missed an episode it was available to watch on catchup.
Such a shame that the series had now ended.

Today in the final round i thought it was unfair that the older couple got to go first again after they drew on the frienRAB question.

Anyone agree?

So would I, today, for I Like It! Tough category though.

My other stab at it was I Want To Wake Up With You by Boris Gardiner - a buried memory from my anal childhood habit of writing down the week's number one in my diary... :o Wonder if that was a pointless.

They used the wall in round 1 on Wednesday. The category was 'Citrus fruit, which is too open ended for a normal round 1.
Have to see what they do today.

Did any OFAH fans notice that "sarah" from todays episode (and tomorrows) played Vicky, the duke of malbrough's daughter that Rodney goes out with, untill Del ruins it..im POSITIVE it is, but nobody believes me..

The Paul McGann movie was a TV movie co-funded by the BBC and it begin with Sylvester McCoy's regeneration so it fits in with the BBC TV series.

Peter Cushing was effectively playing William Hartnell's version of the Doctor, as the films were made before the introduction of the idea of regeneration into the series, so he's not an official Doctor. Plus they called the character in the film Doctor Who and that's not his name, it's a question. (So actually the title of this programme has been wrong for the past 46 years. It should be "Doctor Who?":p)
