Point of self-hatred (Long, I kind of went on a rant sorry =])?

In my 15 years of life I have experienced more than enough hate JUST because I'm dark skinned. I could never figure out why people seem to think that lighter automatically equals "better" and darker is associated with "bad" or "ugly". Is it because some people are too STUPID to lose the slave mentality? I have even heard people say "Dark skin people are mad because they were in the field while light skin people were in the house" Like seriously? I don't think it's fair that I have to put up with this every day. I look out in society and see how (some, not all) black men go for the light skin girls or girls of other race just because they have lighter skin. I really thought it was just me feeling like this until I saw a video on how women of my completion went through the same thing. It's really hurtful to see all of these famous people (particularly rappers) saying how they lie "red bones" and other stupid stuff and acting like dark skin women are poison or something. I feel like an outcast in society because of personal experiences and what I'm forced to see. Does being lighter or having lighter people around you make you feel better?Does it make you feel superior? (If so you are an idiot =]) I just really want to know, what's the point of self-hatred?

I didn't even read past the first sentence...but I promise, as long as you know you are the shyt, nothing or nobody else will matter. I been there with ls vs. ds thing. I learned that regardless of who thinks they are better, I know different. I outshine everywhere I go...that's that. No matter what others think of you, how you think of yourself will effect your happiness.
