H humpty dumpty New member Oct 30, 2012 #2 Free verse. I am just an idiot if I try to rhyme. I know the rules but I simply cannot do it. I use poetry in a cathartic fashion and free verse is suited for that. I can write a haiku, but I would never on my own - only as an answer.
