poetry are feelings written?

It's actually bad in my opinion to write what you feel. I write based on imagination. If I ever write a poem about feelings, I make sure to pretend I have those feelings. Otherwise, I won't write it. If I do write what I feel, it won't turn out any good.

You can write a poem without feeling it, but, of course, that would make it sound more like an instruction manual than an actual poem.

So, sure. You can write a poem without feeling it, but why would you want to? It makes it less interesting for the writer--and the reader.
