I'm trying to find a poem I read once. It's Eve remembering the Garden of Eden. The poet talks about "the really great kissing." If I recall correctly, the snake is regarded as "another misconception, a common mistake" and was actually "a fancy green garter of handmade lace."

I thought it was by Kathy Fagan or Erin Belieu, but I haven't been able to find it by searching through the books I have of theirs. And help would be much appreciated. Thanks!
