What's New?
Pocket Tunes now integrates with Windows Media Player on Windows PCs. You can copy and organize your music from your PC without using slow HotSync or inconvenient card readers. Just start Windows Media Player on your PC and click "Copy to Device".
Only available in the deluxe version, you can now play WMA (Windows Media Audio) music files. Windows Media Player uses WMA music files by default when copying CDs to your computer, so many people will find this to be very convenient. In addition, with WMA files, you can fit more music on your handheld due to the smaller file size. (Please note that some WMA music purchased on the Internet may not be playable with version 3.0, but we are working on supporting this in the near future.)
On the Palm, you can now organize your music by artist, album, and/or genre. Quickly pick the music that you want to hear without worrying about file names, directories, or any of those other details.
Pocket Tunes now features an enhanced plugin architecture, and the Ogg Vorbis and WAV support have been moved into their own plugins. Be sure to install these plugins if you want to play Ogg Vorbis or WAV files, or save space by leaving them out.
Sony CLIE users will be happy to learn about the enhanced CLIE support. Pocket Tunes now supports the jog dial for pausing playback as well as the left and right buttons on the TH55 for switching tracks. In addition, Pocket Tunes now directly supports the NX80's remote. (To use Pocket Tunes on the NX, NZ, or TG series, you will need to install 3rd-party software, which is available at http://www.aibohack.com/clie/modclieaud.htm )
