PoC PTT Questions (for E61i)

How does the PoC Push To Talk work on the E61i? Who can you PTT with? Only with other PoC users (other S60 owners) or any PTT phone like Nextel or Cingular PTT??

So confused, please help!

pretty sure you'd need to be subscribed to cingular's ptt first then you need to set cingulars ptt settings to be able to use ptt.

I would be using T-Mobile, not Cingular.

You would need to contact T-Mobie to ensure that they offer PTT. I'm sure they do. Then you would either need to talk to T-Mobile to get the settings or search.

I am 99.9% sure you can't ptt over PoC in the USA. Cingular uses the Kodiak PTT solution and as far as I know TMO USA doesn't have a PTT solution. For PoC to work you need the server settings from the provider and I don't know of a provider that has it in the US. Maybe one of the smaller carriers might offer it.

You are correct. Even if T-Mobile offered PTT, it doesn't mean S60 phones would be compatible unless the operator supports it. And seeing as they currently have no S60 phones....
