Good luck finding a story that isn't about loss of life, houses, cars, or everything... Just think how bad people there have it
Their houses are flooded up to the rooves, all of their electronics are ruined, everything they own is gone... All they have is the money in their banks and the money their insurance is going to give them (If they were even rich enough to afford insurance in the first place) ... And the insurance companies are going to lose huge amounts of money, which will most likely lead to layoffs, although people working for insurance companies are usually well off anyways ... (Last person I met that worked for an insurance company had an 850,000 dollar house) ...
It makes me sad and angry that more isn't done to protect people from hurricanes... Some people didn't leave because they thought it wasn't a threat and others couldn't leave because they were too poor... They should have had busses coming through with a megaphone "GET ON NOW, A MANDATORY EVACUATION IS TAKING PLACE" ...
