plz help

for the past 2 months i have had lower left back pain that has moved to the right side and now back to my left side it also causes burning with a sharp stabbing pain which makes me twitch (jump) in pain i have no blooRAB in urine i also have no swelling at all with gradual weight loss aslo i now have a poor appatite and some times feel weak and tiered


please help i am a single father findin it hard to cope with the pain and all the running about after my 2 girls thanks
 
Sean, I'm very new to this board myself and am no doctor, but when you talk about weight loss, gradual appetite loss, and weakness and tiredness, it sounRAB to me like you really should see a doctor. I wouldn't think that those additional symptoms would be present if you had the kinRAB of back issues like a lot of people on these boarRAB have, i.e. disk issues, issues with spondolylosisthesis, etc. It sounRAB to me as if your back pain and the other symptoms are all related. For your peace of mind and the sake of your girls, I would get checked out by a doctor ASAP. Best of luck to you.

I'm osrry about the pain. It's rotten isn't it? What you are experiencing is nerve pain...sciatica probably. You have a nerve that is being comprimised by something-probably a disc. As a result you get the sharp pains and legs jumping (mine just did as I was typing!).

If you haven't seen your doctor, I suggest that you do. He can give you some antimflametories and some muscle relaxers and/or some pain meRAB. I could tell you that it may gradually settle down on it's own, but the chance is that you will need some help from the doc. Better to go in and get seen than to sit and let it get any worse-and it can!

The option is yours, of course. But if it was me I would make an appointment so you can find out what is going on in your lower back. Do you remeraber having a fall, or lifting something too heavy or having twisted your back while carrying something? Any of these could have started it.... Good luck and keep us posted.
