i've been taking rivotril .5 mg for the last 18 months.. i did not know abt the side effects of the drug but now i see that iam addicted to it.. i can barely last for 2-3 days without a slight dosage and i feel horrible.. all the symptoms are of the withdrawal related to rivotril i read online.. i thought that maybe i can slowly reduce the dosage and be addiction free but even after reducing to less than 0.3mg every 2-3 days ive not been able to get off it. please help me with this. this can ruin my life completely. i cannot go see a doctor for family reasons, please help me to reduce and get of this addiction. tell me a plan as how i should go about reducing it. i am getting married soon and i need to be off this. PLEASE HELP!!!

i've reduced the dosage from .5 mg twice a day to .5mg once a day to .5 mg every 2 days.. and now i've to take less than 0.5 mg every 2-3 days.. but after this i am not being able to recover..
please help me how i can reducee faster.. this is ruining my life

Listen, there is no quick fix. You could trade a drug for a drug but that is not what you are wanting here. You did not say why you are on this medication to begin with and why you can not go to the doctor. You are doing a good job of cutting down but my dear, you are going to experience some discomfort/withdrawals. A drug like this and you have been on it for 18 mos. You are probably experiencing some anxiety as withdrawal symptoms. You must taper off slowly, slowly until you get to a comfort zone. You can and will be able to get off this med. You could have a seizure if you go to fast. When is the wedding? I mean do you have a few months before the wedding? Irregardless you must taper off slowly and i can not say that enough. Sincerely, searchin Please let me know how you are doing.
