PLIF Post-Op Numbness

SuperStressed

It's been 2 months since my PLIF L5-S1 and the nurabness in a few of my toes hasn't gone away. Right after surgery I mentioned this to the neurosurgeon and he said that is normal after surgery. The toes that are nurab are on the right foot. I had nurabness on both legs before surgery, but never the toes. Has anybody had this experience?

It sounRAB like the nerve for your toes got damaged a bit. My docs told me that you have 6 months for the feeling to return to whatever is nurab. After that there is little chance of you regaining feelling in your toes. I am nurab in my legs and across my back at the hips due to the surgery. It's been 5 years this week and the feeling has never returned....If you feel tingling and the feeling like worms or ants crawling under your skin-thats a good sign. That means your nevers are struggling to work.

good luck.

I still don't feel anything in the last 3 toes on my right foot, but the other day I woke up screaming in the middle of the night because the burning pain in my left leg returned. I felt like I had been electocuted. That can't be good, right? That's part of what this surgery was supposed to get rid of.:blob_fire
