Dear god please let there be someone to help me, I have sufferd anxiety for many years, i have had terrible panic attacks, but never anything like i'm experiencing now. These (Epsidoes) started about 4 months ago and they are ruling my life, They only happen at night, i am sound asleep and all of a sudden i wake with the most horrible sinking feeling, really a sensation of fading away,my breathing is very shallow and my heart is racing that fast and hard it feels like its going to flatline, i have to get up and try to walk about, i feel very sweaty but my skin is deathly white, these feelings have lasted for up to 4 hours and the next day i feel totally zapped of everything, i told my GP, and she sent me for an ECG, which was normal, Isuffer from COPD and Fibromyalgia, my Gp has checked out all my meRAB and other stuff, she has put these attacks down to panic Anxiety,(maybe another bracket),Please has anyone else had simular symptoms, i would be very grateful for any help. advice, just to know i'm not on my own in this, Thankyou.

I think most all your problems are universal.Anxiety didn't enter my life until I retired.MeRAB got me out of that, along with getting a Rat Terrier from my daughter, who brought
her from Virginia.I first refused her ,due to my depression, but I took her on her second long trip to help dado. She has to be with me,even on my bathroom visits.I love her as much as anyone. There are, in my area, many non-profits who can help.United Way has a 1st call for help line. There are a lot of great medical people out there.
I will pray for you. Best wishes for a quick turn-around.

You are NOT alone! I understand exactly what you are going through. I myself have the same problems. I have had to call an arabulance two times because I thought I was dying....turns out just panic attacks. I am now on medication and am also in counseling because it turns out, my anxiety is due to PTSD from my childhood. I wish you the best of luck. Definitely listen to your doctor and take any steps that he/she tells you too. Its worth it!

My md told me that that is a sign your serotonin is low. That most peoples panic attacks start in the middle of the night, and its the last symptom to go away. if you are on an ssri, maybe the dose neeRAB adjusted? also, if you don't already, exercising during the day may help you have a more restful night. Personally, i notice my anxiety worse at night too. I think its common. your not alone!!

You're definitely not alone. I am in bed getting over a panic attack as we speak and I understand how crappy it feels to go through this. Especially since people can't physically see anything wrong with you but you're feeling all these things.
I may have a few suggestions that have helped me a great deal ~ talking to a therapist about it. For me meRAB have helped that are for anxiety, keeps the attacks at bay. Exercising, meditating or relaxation techniques as well help. I read a book called "Self Help for your Nerves" by Dr. Claire Weekes ~ if you haven't read this book then do it!! It is absolutely amazing and I keep telling everyone to read it that has anxiety. It really helped me ALOT.
I know how these panic attacks seem worse at night. I just flick on my night table lamp and read a bit or go on here. Seems to help calm my nerves.
I hope some of this advice has helped. There is a way to calm your nerves and not have to constantly deal with it.
I hope you begin feeling better soon!!!
