hey to every one im new here and i wnated to know if anyone could help me. im thinking of buying a new nokia 6280 do you guys think this is a good idea, if not do you have any cellphone suggestions with in the 350$ U.S. price range.

What country and what service provider do you intend to use it with? What features are most important to you in a phone? There are a lot of really awesome phones you can get in the $350 range, but we need to know a little more from you to really make suggestions. Later this year the Nokia 6282 is coming out, which looks like a US version of the 6280. The 6282 will include the GSM 850mhz band that is used in many parts of the US, which the 6280 lacks. Otherwise, I think they are almost the same phone (you should compare the features yourself before you quote me on that :)).

Nokia 6282 Specs & Features (Phone Scoop)

Edit: For one thing, I see the 6282 has a 1mp camera while the 6280 has 2mp, oh and here's an OLD press release I dug up on google (looks like the release has been delayed, hopefully not for long!): Nokia - Nokia 6282: High-speed UMTS performance for 3G customers in the Americas - Press Releases - Press - About Nokia

well one of the main features that i like is the 2.0 mega pixel camera that the 6280 has and the 6282 has a 1 mega pixel camera. but the thing that caught my eye on this phone was how good the video quality was. i saw a video that was captured with that phone and i thaught it was preety impressive. and i live in the MIAMI, FLORIDA but i know that the 6280 will work there cuz i have cingular and cingulars gsm 1900 covers almost all of the east and midwest of the us which is compatible with the 6380.

what are you talking about i dont under stand, and what is that thing on the side that says CPF $: and then some numbers

I heard most areas in Florida, 850Mhz is used...but I could be misinformed. The 6280 looks like a good choice. What about the 3250, or the N72? What I like about these phones is that they use Symbian.
