The manuscripts theme deals with faith, destiny, and cause and effect. Influenced by the old Arabic story of Layla, and the Madman.
Oliver, promiscuous man from London decides to sneak away from his wife and spend three days in Seattle with a women he has been talking to on the internet. He lands in Seattle, and finds himself talking to an annoying women, Layla, he doesn't care of her opinion of him, and tells her he came to Seattle to cheat on his wife. They leave the cafe heading in different directions. While crossing the street, Oliver gets in an accident. Layla witnesses this, and helps him to the hospital. His condition isn't serious and is released the same day; however, he finds that he can't access his recent memories. Layla, feeling sorry for him, agrees to accompany him around Seattle until his flight on several conditions. 1. He isn't to know her last name. 2. They are to meet every morning at the cafe before heading out. 3. Once he leaves Seattle their time is over.

As the three days unfold, Oliver starts falling for Layla, not realizing that she knows about his infidelity. But despite this, she falls for him as well. Layla has her own agenda. She uses him to create a "moment" for herself, so that when she's old, she could remember a time when life's complication didn't get in the way, and all there is, was an untainted moment. It's revealed that she is a terminal cancer patient, and has been going to chemotherapy each morning before meeting him. Oliver falls in love with Layla, telling her on the last night, after regaining his memories, that he realizes that who he is with her, is what he wants, and not the person he was before. But there is nothing he can do. She makes him abide by their agreement for him to leave.

When he returns on England, he finds that his wife has known all along about his infidelities, and has decided to divorce him. He yearns to return to Seattle. But remembers his promise to Layla. Back in Seattle, Layla's cancer starts to show, she has now shaved her head, wearing a wig, and has noticeably lost weight. She thinks of Oliver as well, but knows there's nothing she can do.

After the divorce, he returns to Seattle to find her. He waits at the coffee shop every morning. On his first day there, Layla, now extremely sick, sees, and recognizes him. But after some thought decides that she doesn't want to see him that way, turns around and never returns to the coffee shop. He waits everyday at the coffee shop for two weeks before finally giving up, and leaving Seattle as it's raining. He ponders what it was all for, and what the purpose of meeting her was.

It is wonderful. Please write the book and then notify every one on Yahoo Answers (mostly me) to the name of the book and where and when I can get the book.

I am hooked already.
