Please help!

We just bought a TX today and can not even get the software loaded. It keeps giving me an error message Internal Errer 2738. We did have a former palm device that just died about 6 months ago but supposely all that software has been removed. It no longers shows up under the programs and when I did a search it came back with nothing. The Palm help desk was useless. All they could do is give me a 900 number for Franklin COvey and not tell me how much it was going to cost to call the number.

Has anyone else had this problem?
 
I tried loading the software on my sons computer and it did load. The only thing is that we do not want to use that computer. All of our Outlook contacts is on our computer. I do not think it is the disk. I think it is some kind of conflict.
 
Try going to Palm One and downloading Palm Desktop and install from that file rather than the CD. Palm Desktop is the same no matter what Palm you have. The Additional software is all that's different. Maybe that will get you through the trouble spot.
 
There are different versions of Palm Desktop, including the newest for the Palm TX. You didn't mention what your "desktop / laptop" computer system is running, Win98, Win98SE, Win XP etc...

There are some incompatibilities on some of the Windows operating systems and the Palm website explains what is or is not supported.

There was also an update to the Palm desktop specifically for the Tungsten E (I think this is the correct device), but all this information is detailed in the support area of Palm.

Without knowing more about your system, it is hard to determine what the exact problem may be.
