Yes, many, many of your symptoms, the onset ones and the symptoms that followed suggest that Lyme disease might be a possibility. Lyme is prevelent in the UK but apparently most UK doctors are not versed in the symptoms nor in the treatments.
We have Lyme epidemic going on where I live and our doctors are better than most, based on what I'm reading on these boards. But if you want to find out if Lyme is the culprit, you'll have to be proactive and do some serious research because your doctors most likely won't do it for you.
