Please help!! Word to go & Excel documents crash my TX when I open or close them...

I thought perhaps this was happening because I have little memory on my internal drive. So I deleted lots of documents, and now I have 7% (8.4MG) of space on my internal drive.

But the TX still crashes, especially when I try to close particular documents, and especially when I try to open excel to go docs.

Can anyone help? Thanks.

I had many problems with W2Go until this latest version (9.0). If you email DataViz customer service and explain the problem, or call them, they can talk you through deleting the program, email you a small program which makes sure it is all deleted, and then reinstall. That usually fixed the problem for me. But it did take that program they emailed me to get the job done finally. It is called DataViz Tech, but I am at the office so I dont have the program to email to you. DataViz customer service was very helpful. Give it a shot, and let us know if that worked.

I had similar problems with Sheet to Go. The solution which worked for me was to delite saved preferences file (with FileZ) and copy the saved preferences file from the back up before the problems started. Or just delite the old saved prferences file and the new one will be created but in this case you will have to enter all registration numbers and preferences to all the programs you have on your handheld.

Thanks, I tried to email dataviz. A sales person responded but said my only option was to upgrade for ?30, That doesn't sound right, that I have to pay. Could you email me the upgrade? That would really help. Thanks.

Sorry I took so long to reply. My first suggestion is to contact support, not sales. Of course, all they want to do is sell you an upgrade or something else.I will be happy to send you the dataviztech.prc if that is the route you choose to go. It always worked for me, ie to delete the program, run DataVizTech to remove any other pieces of the program, and reinstall.
As far as sending you the program, as much as I might disagree with their recommendation to upgrade, I cannot illegally go around that policy and send you the upgrade. ?It may not be right, but it is the law?.

drbaer you cannot delete DTG from the TX because it is written into the ROM.



Indeed, try that tool that action49 posted.

It scans for corrupted documents and the like and will generally get things in working order again.

I guess if that doesn't work then post back here.
 
Since my TX and the newest version of DTG, I have not had to delete and reinstall it. You are correct, all that happened on my T3 not the Tx. As I said earlier, I have had no real problems since the upgrade to the newest version 9.0. For that reason alone it has been worth the price to me.
