I'm looking for a small, sleek, stylish phone (don't need smartphone), with good camera, easy text messaging (and AIM, of course), great reception and battery life.

Any recommendations?

sorry i forgot to mention some things.. i'm on t-mobile so prefer quad-band and am looking for something also with a good, clear speakerphone... and a nice form-factor. Also I can't stand lag on phones... some something quick
so in order of importance:
1) reception/call clarity (quad-band)
1.5) nice form factor (fairly small)
2) easy and quick text messaging (including aim)
3) good clear speakerphone
4) long battery life
5) decent megapixel camera

You may already know this, but just in case...Tri/Quad band won't make a difference in US/Canada reception.

We only use 2 bands in the US. The other 2 in the "quad" are for Europe & most of the rest of the world.

So unless you plan on traveling outside N. America, and want to use this phone (as opposed to buying/renting another one), quad-band isn't any benefit to you.

Maybe so, but quad-band is the easiest way of making sure that you get both 850 and 1900 bands on the phone. Tri-band, unfortunately, MIGHT have either 850 or 900, but not both...and 900 isn't used here, as you said.

Personally, I like my Motorola V635, but it's hard to get except off Ebay. However, it does fit all of your specs and then some.

That's true, I was thinking of US-based phones. But now, as he said, just make sure you get both 850 & 1900 on your phone & you'll have everything US/Canada uses.
