Ok, so I got the 8gig iPhone 3G last night and only got the 30 dollar data package but no gps. Well the guy at the ATT store waas saying that I could use google maps to find my location and get directions which does not use the gps, but after using it I was concerned that it was because my former Blackberry Curve's my location on google maps was off by a good bit while the iPhones was right on the spot...
So my question! Is, am I safe using the location service on the phone using google maps while avoiding the use of costly gps? Thanks for any help but I am totally new to the iPhone and the way its menus and what not work.
Also, does anyone know of any good free apps that add a video camera, free tv, and a meter that shows the batteries actual percentage left. Thanks again!
