please help, possible overdose?

while i was under the influence of alcohol last night, i took some pills... and ever since then, i haven't felt quite right. i couldn't sleep all night, and today i've had an irregular heartbeat, dizzy spells, and nausea. my chest feels very uncomfortable and i've had heart burn all day. i'm very embarrassed about what i did, so i don't want to call a doctor. i took 2 one-a-day weight loss supplements, 2 zolofts, 1 birth control pill, 4 chocolate laxative chews, 6 laxative tablets, and 3 percosets. please tell me if this is something i need to worry about. i've never taken pills like that before.

Call your doctor...you are not the first person to do something like this and you won't be the last. Irregular heartbeat, dizzy spells, and nausea are symtoms that can be serious so I would encourage you to get a doctor's advice/guidance. Doctors should be compassionate and understanding under these circumstances...if your doctor is not, fire him/her, but don't let that stop you from seeking help immediately.

You might want to contact a pharmacist while you're waiting for your doctor's office to call you back...pharamacists have a wealth of info, and are health care professionals we should consult more often than we do.

Take care.

I would call a doctor or the pharmacy and tell them what you did and see what they say. A night of drinking causes me to have those same symptoms, it could just be from drinking or it could be something more, go have it checked out.

Instead of calling your doctor-go directly to the Emergency Room. They can give you some medication to counteract the pills that you took.

The diet pills would cause the heart irregularity, the zoloft and percocet would cause the dizziness and the laxatives are most likely causing your nausea.

My biggest concern and my reason that you should go to the Emergency Department is the fact that you took so many pills at one time. Have you been prescribe Zoloft by a doctor or did you take someone else's medication? If the Zoloft is yours did you just begin this medication? One of the problems with new prescriptions of Zoloft is that patients tend to have greater depressive moods. Zoloft is prescribed for other conditions however the drug can still cause the depressive side effect.

I am also concerned about a possible underlying issue. Please seek help immediately. Call a family member or a friend to take you immediately to an Emergency Room.
