...crazy!!!***? Hi there, I am painting my babys bedroom with good quality paint.
The walls were painted a couple of years back to cover the old horrible dark purple paint that the previous owners had done (over plaster)
When we painted over that it went on fine no problems at all.
Now I have painted all the walls but 1 wall is bubbleing really bad.
I have tried sanding down then doing again and it just keeps doing the same thing. I have tried silk and bought matt but same again.
Onto my 6th try today after scraping sanding and again blisters/bubbles all over just the 1 wall.
Anyone know how to fix this problem I am pulling my hair out.
Thanks all xxx
thanks for answers so far, no there is no damp, it is the inside wall (next to my bedroom) the window wall is fine as are all the others. I don't see how it can be a reaction due to oil based or water based because allthe other walls have took to it perfect, it would of done the same to them wouldn't it? I've just had a look and the blisters are bigger than ever, about the size of a 50p. Oh its so annoying lol. thanks again keep em coming xxx
Thanks everyone, and Matt I'm going to try the 50/50 paint/water method first as I have spent a fortune already on first the silk paint, then the 'matt' lol.
Also there is no vent on the wall at all, just a vent for air to escape on a wall at the othe side of the room not a heater or a/c though.
Matt what is sugar soap? Sorry if dumb question hust haven't heard of it before
