i joined a international friendship site some time ago. I met lots of Turkish people. They were usually in their teens to early twenties. I am getting really interested in them, because they seem so cultural and at the same time be so much modern. I start talking to them, and especially guys they say. How are u doing? and Im like nothing much im just really bored. U know how this is a general saying. that nothing much just bored. But they get really offended by it :S ....like this conversation.

Hakan says:
how r u Chealsea?
Chealsea says:
Hey there, I'm pretty good just bored and you?
Hakan says:
hmm bored why?
Hakan says:
for why?
Chealsea says:
I don't know just bored you know
Hakan says:
hmmm ok

*(10 min passed)

Chealsea says:
are u there?
Hakan says:
evet, but you said you bored
Chealsea says:
????
Chealsea says:
What?
Hakan says:
if you are bored then pls say?
Chealsea:
wait what???
Hakan says:
pls say if you are bored of me

**this is not a first conversation i had like this...i had probably others that were just like this with other Turkish people (guys generally). I never intended to hurt their feelings. I figured not to say that anymore that i was just generally bored. But please tell me if this is a cultural taboo that i shouldn't say that im bored in a company with others? Please inform me of taboos in Turkish culture.

Thanks so much for the help !!!
