im suppose to write a paragraph about the framework of our system of government using the following terms; checks and balances, separation of powers, executive branch, legislative branch, judicial branch.
Every branch of government has some sort of power over the other so that one branch doesn't become to powerful. Ex. President has the power of the veto.
checks and balances = each branch can check the other branches
separation of powers = each branch has different powers
executive branch= president
legislative branch= congress
judicial branch = supreme court
