The premise you are using may be very hard to support (sort of a Luddite position).
Actually the reverse is quite true. The CPU and other chips in your computer could not have been made but for the Million dollar lenses used in their production. Our medical imaging would be missing a lot of various cancers without the "bad" technology.
You could make a point about how our form of communication has become less personal as we resort to IMing and texting our friends instead of spending time with them.
This whole idea needs at least a few weeks to research and compile the best of the best information and then hone it all down to a clear and concise discussion of your point of view. How did you instructor expect you to do all this in such a short time?
