Hello everyone! I hope everyone is doing OK!

I am just very frustrated and confused about some symptoms

For the past 2-3 months I have had a few symptoms that have been bothering me:

Starting 2-3 months ago I've felt slightly nauseated throughout the day almost every day. It's not so much that I have to throw up, but just a very lingering sort of feeling. I never throw up or have a real urge, but it definitly is making me lose some of my appetite and just feel "blah".

Over the same amount of time I've also developed a cough that I've had on and off every day since. It's not constant, but it does come up several times throughout the day. It's not extremely wet, but it does bring up a little bit of clearish/yellowish mucus that I have to cough up (I've tried Mucinex-doesn't help).

Finally, my bowels have changed. Sometimes they are really gassy and thin, other times huge. My stomach sometimes makes really odd noises. I'll have pressure and bloating and my stomach will make noises that sound high to low (I know that sounds weird). Like a siren that starts high, but when it gets low it sounds very "bubbly". I wish I could explain it better...I don't have diarrhea or constipation.

Does anyone have ANY idea what could possibly be going on?? I currently don't have health insurance (waiting for my teaching certification to go through so I can get back on it). I could pay out-of-pocket, but I'd really prefer not to!

***I don't have allergies (I've seen an allergist), I'm not on birth control, I don't have GERD, and I'm DEFINITELY not pregnent!!***

Thanks and take care everyone!! :)

You may not have allergies, but it does sound like a post-nasal drip situation. My husband is the same a lot of the time. The mucus runs down, he swallows it, and it irritates his gut. It makes him either nauseous, or, if he gets over that and it goes further down, he gets bowel symptoms. Clear up that mucus however, and I bet the other symptoms go as well. He uses sprays some of the time to dry up his sinuses, and that seems to help, but he hasn't found a satisfactory permanent solution yet. Sera.

I agree. Try taking a good 24 hour antihistamine for a week or so and see if that doesn't help. Something like zyrtex. It's OTC and once a day. You need something that can work 24/7 so you can tell if that's the issue. But I bet you might be surprised. Because mucus and drainage can really cause your tummy and intestines to get unhappy. It's a cheap experiment-what have you got to lose? And most of them are non drosy now....

Thanks guys!

I'm taking Alleclear (which is generic Claritin-I think) OTC 1x day. It really helps with any allergies I would have. My allergist said I'm slightly allergic to Ragweed, but it's not that time of year, is it (and the Alleclear has always cleared it right up)? Other than that slight allergy, nothing. Would the Alleclear dry things up?

I also use a saliene nose spray to keep from getting nosebleeds (which I ususally have 1x every month or two).

Thanks!
