I'm looking for a novel but i can't remember the author or title. I remember only a tiny bit of the story. From what I remember,
A girl I believe was a maid? she was put on trial for stealing a ring I think, then years later it was found in a bird's nest?
Does anyone know this story? Its been driving me crazy for years trying to remember what book it is.
I thought of to kill a mockingbird or one flew over the cuckoo's nest because they have bird titles, but i don't believe that it is either of those novels.
