Please help me find current events for my class?! 10 POINTS?

I'm going to be a freshman this year and have been taking advanced classes since I have been in the high school. I am going to be in a Social Studies AP class and was given a packet to complete over the summer. Part of the assignment is to write 4 different papers about four different current events. I also have to write an essay on a time period that discusses "changes that occurred as people shifted from a nomadic lifestyle to sedentary (staying in one place) lifestyle. Explain how the changes have impacted people, societies and cultures. I was wondering if anyone of you could help me find 2-4 current events from June to August) that answer Who, What, When, Where, Why and How. These must relate to the World History course I will be taking. For the essay I would like some examples and need the location of all your information. I am not look for you to complete my work, I am hoping you can make my life easier because I have finished half my packet but unfortunately, still have plenty to go.
