Please help, I am really afraid of my chemistry teacher!?

Ok, so I am in Honors Chemistry and there is only one teacher for that class. I have heard so many stories about how mean and creepy she is. Also, her class is supposedly very difficult and many people fail. I've had her class for only a week and she really scares me. She gave out so much homework and she's been really mean. For example, we've been doing Science Fair Projects since last year. My prject involves collecting bacteria from peoples' mouths. I originally planned to use 5 people, but she yelled at me and said I needed at least 100 people (yes, one hundred). She is also making me fill out a bunch of legal contracts for me to experiment with humans. She is really stressing me out and scaring me. Please give me advice. Thanks!
