...PERFECT ANSWER? hey !! ny 1 ho iz really expert abt audio hardwares pls help me !! i have TOSHIBA SATELITE LAPTOP VISTA ... the prblm is that whenever i plug in my earphone i cant hear the snd frm it instead i can hear frm the speakers only the headphone wrkd well days ago and i cant repair it again cause i've chnged motherboard once because of someothr prblm MIC wrkz very well !!! plzz tell me any solution ... is the prblm bcause the pin in the socket is loose or somethin plzz 10 marks 4 da perfect answer thnks ...

Are you sure you plugged your headphones into the proper port? Are they connected to the line out port or the microphone port?
or, should i say it like this so you will understand

R u sre u plugd ur hedfones n2 the propr port? R they conectd 2 the line out port or the microphone port?
 
youhave "chnged motherboard" but you cannot plug in a pair of headphones? or are you trying to plug in a headset with mic and earpiece all on one jack plug? - if the latter, that will not work - you need separate 3.5mm connector for each (2 pole plug for mic, 3 pole for stereo headphones)
