PLEASE HELP!!! acura rsx & toyota corolla?

so im 18 next month and i really want an acura rsx type s. but i recently been noticing toyota corrola with an S at the end as well. i was wondering is there a difference between the acura rsx type s and the toyota corolla s? its no shiet that they're both different manufacters, but i just wanted to know what the "S" types mean in those cars....
