please help 6700 mms problem

Well, BUB does not specifically mention Kirvin's No Junk 3.5. He actually says to upgrade to AKU 3.3. I chose KNJ 3.5 because I'm prone to the "latest-and-greatest" disease. :erabaresse Perhaps he just neeRAB to mention that us Cricket users should use as close to Stock as we can get to lessen the chance of any hiccups that may arise.
 
Well actually Berry and Bad both use KNJ 3.5 without MMS trouble. Idk why it doesnt work on ours, but im just happy i got mine working! Just stay away from 3.5!!
 
finally somebody responRAB. thanks jammis. i did follow the tutorial and i have done the 6700 before its just this ones giving me this problem.
 
what??? i went into the message menu and there isnt even any mms choice in menu>go to> it just has text messages and outlook email thats it.
 
So it seems that Kirvin's No Junk 3.5 is where my problem lies. I started from scratch by reinstalling the XV6700 default 2.2 Rom here (APA_VZW_20720_206_11000_WWE_Ship.exe). Choose XV6700 from the left drop down menu. Performed a hard reset. Did not let VZW install anything. Followed the tut and was able to start the procedure for MMS after changing server info. I did not send anything but this was farther than I'd gotten before since I can actually click New now. With Kirvin's No Junk 3.5, I would click new and nothing would happen. Now I actually get a menu.

I'm now going to try with Kirvin's Stock 3.5 as I really liked the feel of 3.5.
 
its wierd though because i used the no junk rom on another 6700 and had no problems, but i think the thing i did different with that one is i didnt install the APA rom unlocker right on that phone so when i did the hard reset it still tried to install all that other verizon stuff but i just did a soft reset before it did that. could that be the problem? and on the one im working on now i can receive and download pics but cant send them.
 
The stock one at the bottom of that page is the one that I used. I can give you my own FTP with username/password if you would like to make sure you're using the one that I'm using. PM me for help. No Junk 3.5 does not like my phone. I just installed Kirvin's Stock 3.5 and everything is fine and dandy. New mms works like it did with the UTStarcom stock 2.2. I can live with this now.

jguttz: I did install the unhider and unlocker on my phone. I removed the stock rom and replaced it with badutahboy's custom rom. The New button would act like I clicked it but nothing would happen. The only way I could get it to work with this phone is by using Kirvin's Stock 3.5. As for receiving mms on the No Junk 3.5, I could not try it because I don't know anyone up here in Portland that has cricket and my other phone is another XV6700 that I mod'd for the wife and that one wasn't working either.
 
ok so should i try kirvins stock 3.5? can i just install it over the no junk or do i need to go back to the verizon backup that i made first. another question also is your wap working? i installed minimo and i tried the wap but it says that the proxy server that was configured could not be found please try again later.
 
After I installed Stock 3.5, I installed No Junk 3.5 right on top. New went back to it's miserable old self of not working. Not wanting to redo all my settings, I just installed Stock 3.5 right on top and it appears to still be functioning properly. So, while I did install Stock on top of No Junk, . :buddies:

I'm now still adding my Registry settings for MMS so I haven't tested that yet. I will let you know in about 10 mins.
