i have searched and searched for instructions on flashing a lg rumor to cricket. i have seen spotty post about it cant be done and post's that it can be done.
does anyone have a tut on flashing the rumor to cricket. or does anyone know if it can actually be done..

i have read that it neeRAB to be flashed to an alltel rom first but thats as far as the reading goes, there is no more info on what files to obtain or anything.

before i get smacked for this post, i have searched and found nothing concrete about flashing a rumor.
 
for instance, what dll do i use? for the rumor? how do i find the msl that sprint has on this phone. it is not 333333 or 000000 it is erabedded in the reg i am sure. but where to look?
 
To find MSL or SPC use UniCDMA read EPROM save to desktop open with notepad.
Then to load the PRL you can use many dlls 9900, 9800, 8550, 8500 etc.
 
hmm how about a post on how its done? and what is needed just to do the prl for phone and text.. maybe i'll do mms and web later..

oops didnt see your first ;post... what location is the msl and spc...

what do i use to write prl? lg download?
 
depenRAB...if you want to write the spc in the phone, then you can use lg download, qpst, qxdm, cdma workshop, patagonia, etc.

if you want to write the spc in the snow, then you would use a warm stream of urine :bulging:
 
can anyone one tell me what dll file to use and where the msl will be in the eprom read? or is this some big secret for the lx260? i have searched and searched and there is no info on this phone at all. its like everything about this phone is a secret or it cant be done.
anyone?
 
The easiest way would be just to use CDMA Workshop. First put the phone in LGDM mode and then go to the Security tab and use LG Method to Read the SPC and it will appear by itself. Send the SPC to the phone then change it 000000 and Write to phone. After that then go to the Other tab and Write the prl to the phone. Easy!! No dlls needed!! No scanning through the memory!!! No nothing!!!
 
got the phone and standard text working..
is the only way to get web and mms working on this sprint rumor to flash phone to a alltel? that is the only thing i can find about getting mms and web working.
 
Yup. The only way to get internet for sure is to flash to the Alltel firmware. Picture messaging can probably be done too but as of right now I don't know how to do it and I don't think the solution has been shared either. BE EXTREMELY CAREFUL IF YOUR GOING TO FLASH TO ALLTEL FIRM!!! You might brick your phone if you don't do it right. The correct method to do it has already been discussed in a thread for the Scoop if I'm not mistaken.
