PLEASE READ THIS ALL IT IS A VERY SAD BUT GOOD STORY. :)
I had two guppies in a fish bowl and i found out that they need a filter so i brought them back to walmart where i bought them and I exchanged it for a crowntail betta fish because it doesn't require a filter. I got to pick which one so I choose the one that was in this ungly yelloish at the bottom plastic container because I really wanted to save his life. He wasnt going up to breathe there was poop at the bottom of the container and the fish wasnt moving at all but i knew it wasnt dead. He was in a really bad condition and about to die and the people that work in walmart didnt do anything about it!!!! So I brought him to the lady and said that I want this one - I was with my mom then- and she was like "he is gonna die, he actually is about to die go get another fish!!" I turned around with the plastic container with the fish in my hand and held back my tears. I didnt want that poor creature to die unloved and without a loving family especially at walmart. So my mom got the container from my hand mad at the women and said we are going to get him! So on the way home he wasnt looking any better and he wasnt breathing at all! I almost lost my hopes on him. When we got home my dad had the tank ready for him and we quickly placed him in the bowl and gave him some blood worms and the betta fish food. He slowly went to the surface and quickly ate all of the food we gave him. The bowl was a 1.5 gallon one and soon we are going to get him a bigger one maybe a three gallon one. So he slowly started recovering and he was swimming slowly and he took his first breath since his stay in the filthy container. Now today he is still recovering and he is better than ever. We got him yesterday. :) This story proves that you must give everybody a second chance and that God will always be there for anybody anywhere. Out of all the fish that I could have choose from, the beautiful goldens and the blues I choose the one that was about to die and I gave him a second chance! Miracles do happen :)
Thank you :) ur soo nice too :)
yes i know! those tanks at walmart were sooooo filthy and the fish were eating one another! there was this dead fish in one tank and every fish was eating it for survival! it made me sooooo sad! :(
vulcan- i do know that some fish need a bigger aquarium but I want for Wally (the fish from walmart) to recover in that bowl and if i needed a 5 gallon tank for very fish i had that would be a lot lol :P
thank you all for understanding that miracles do happen :)
that fish costed $6 and the healthy one from the pet store that I got maybe 4 days ago was only $2.88

youre a vary nice person trying to save that fish. and you know god wasnt the only one that did that miracle you did part of it. and some people dont care that betta fish are kept in those tiny containers but how would you like it if you were kept in a container for a week and wasnt fed and had to live in your own poo! and even though fish cant breathe air and dont live for a long time that doesnt mean that they arent living animals and dont deserve the best. THANK YOU FOR SAVING THAT FISH!!!!!

Great story, good that you did that. I had once seen a poor little neon tetra, all alone and sick with ich, seemingly a feeder fish for a bichir. It makes me sad... I did sort of save a fish once, too, it was a marbled hatchet fish. Someone bought all except one, and the loney fish was stressed, trying to get to the tank beside it's own, to another of it's kind. There were only two, and I bought them both :)

OMG that is such a sad story
it gud wat u did
and yes everybody deserves a second chance
