I randomly get a throbbing lower back pain that feels somewhat internal. I'm afraid it may have to do with either my kidneys or something dealing with the digestive tract. The pain is about a 9 out of ten. After taking deep breaths, walking around, and drinking water the pain goes away completely. What could this be?

the one thing that really should be done is to see your primary doc for just some simple bloodwork on your kidneys and just the regular metabolic and hepatic panels. sometimes one organ issue can just affect others, so getting all that simply "done' would at least rule out some possibilitys for you. they will also do a simple UA on you to check for any possible things in your urine that just should not normally be there, like protein or ketones,or indicators of possible infection to a certain degree.

its basic test and rule out til "something' simply shows itself, you know what i mean? the fact that walking and drinking water actuually helps could mean a possible bladder issue too. that would be tested in that UA too. bladder pain does not always show in the lower abdominal, it can also radiate out to the back as well. alot really depenRAB upon what could be affecting that bladder and exactly where. that alone would dictate symptoms and any pain presentation too.

this just 'could' also be some level of actual spinal issue too. like i said, it is a matter of just testing and ruling things in or out that will eventually lead to a real dx of any real condition or problem inside our bodies. the mere fact that this is being described as a 'throbbing' would indicate possible inflamation somewhere,or even a possible vascular issue as well.

one really great way to really get the best overall "look' at the overall picture would be with a corabo of bloodwork and at least an ultrasound type of scan. one US can really show alot, even down to actual bloodflow thru or to certain organs as well. i have to have constant USs every year just to monitor my kidney/liver disease. its really amazing in just what one US can show. they can also take a good look at your bladder as well during this. they wil have you kind of fill up on water pretest, then scan the full bladder and then ask you to go to the bathroom and then scan again, just to see how well the bladder is voiding, among other things with it. just some ideas for you to follow up on with your doc. but you DO most definitely NEED to see your doc for some basic testing to find anything out. its just starting with the more common 'baseline' testing first, and seeing what does or does not show and going from there. hopefully it wont take forever to find the source of the problem. please keep me posted. good luck chatman, marcia
