Playstation 3 Question?

I am looking to buy a PS3 + amplifier + 7.1 speakers.
I already have a LCD screen with HDMI in.
Is it possible to hook up the PS3 to the amplifier and from the amplifier to the LCD.
Basically I want the audio to go to my amplifier(and then to the speakers) and the video to my LCD.
What am I to buy?
Any extra accessories.
What type of amplifier should I get?(hdmi in or something like that?)
Does PS3 have region code locking on DVD's also?
If yes is there an unlock.

I am highly confused!!! :P

I can only answer u about the region locking on the DVD unfortunately its region locked and I think you can get accesories at the official sony stores
