Playstation 3 and Seagate Freeagent 1.5 tb?

Does anyone know how you can make the playstation 3 read the Freeagent 1.5 tb external hardrive?

I have a Western Digital 160 GB hard drive that i can watch movies from it, but the playstation doesnt recognize the seagate to play movies.

Any ideas?
