Playing Online Games In College?

I'll be heading to college soon and I'm wondering if online games (PC-games) work well over direct-connect college internet services? Do you think it'll lag if I use the internet service in my dorm? Does it just depend on the school?

im thinking it does depend on the school but from what my friends have told me, the internet is usually too laggy to play games.

Depends on the school, I suppose. I've been able to play MMORPGs at my school, and I have friends who are able to do the same. It probably won't be a *wonderful* connection (sometimes they take the internet down while working on the system here, but it's not for very long and they e-mail us about when they will do that), but it should be suitable enough with minimal lag.
